Ideas for SalesPad Desktop

Web API compatible with workflow plugins & email

We use the SalesPad web API to make many of our processes more efficient; however when the API forwards sales documents through queues it doesn't trigger the smartprint email plugin rules we have set up.  It would be incredible to use the web API AND maintain the features of workflow plugins that we love and have already built into our processes!

    Rebecca - were you able to resolve?  Another option is to use AutomationAgent to forward which does execute smart printing/scripts correctly.

    After checking our web API, it looks like we are on v 1.0.1.6.  Thank you for confirming the web API capabilities and version.  I will submit a ticket with support, since it seems there is an issue somewhere that's preventing us from using this feature!

    Rebecca,

    It looks like this is supposed to be written to the audit trail on the document.  I also confirmed smart printing with emailing is supported through the SalesPad Web API, but you have to be on version 1.0.0.5 of the Web API.

    Jacob, anything definite on this?  I believe API & smartprint works for printing documents, but not for sending emails?

    Hey Jacob, should this be listed in the usual sales document order audit trail?  I'm not seeing an error message on the smartprint, but maybe I am looking in the wrong spot?

    Can you take a look at the audit for one of the documents forwarded through the web api and see if there is any error message regarding smart printing?  Theoretically, it should work and if it fails, there is an error written to the audit log with the reason it failed.  With that said, not all plugins are available to run through the web api.  The list is:

    SmartPrinting

    PayLink

    CancelPayLink

    KitExploder

    DocumentCombiner
