CardControl Cash Receipt Customer Refund

It is my understanding that CardControl is only capable of processing a negative charge or refund to a customer credit card when the charge is initiated from a sales order processing return. This seems too limited considering CardControl can be used to process cash receipts in both SalesPad Desktop as well as directly in GP. If a cash receipt was process through CardControl and it turns out that cash receipt was posted in error there is "no way to correct this issue through SalesPad". 

 

This exact situation happened at one of our client sites where a cash receipt was processed through CardControl and posted only to find out that it was incorrectly charged and the customer insisted on a refund to their credit card.
