Ideas for SalesPad Desktop

Add system setting: Store Quote Line Items in Customer Item History

Customer Item History tab is a great resource – except its missing quoted items. Providing a setting/option to add quoted line items to the customer item history tab – especially deleted ones – would be a great tool. Currently, to find out a complete customer line item history (when and at what price of quotes and orders), the sales person has to preview the item history tab, then switch over to sales documents, filter on quotes, and manually look at line items in multiple quotes.

Setting a flag in system options and modifying procedures sppUpdateItemHistory and spvItemHistory should do it - allowing users to see quote history included with item sales history.

    Paul,

That tab should include any line item on a quote, order, invoice, or return as long as they are in the system, including voided documents.  There are check boxes on that tab that allows the user to select which doc types to include in that tab.  If you select Quotes, those line items should show on there as well.

Jacob,  I find your claim to be inaccurate, at least on our version (4.5.1.1) of Salespad Desktop.   Only Open and Historic show up under item history.    Voided items from quotes do not show up in item history.  (So we have to maintain extra open quotes).  Contact me and will be happy to demonstrate.

    Paul,

You are correct.  I went back and looked and we don't include lines from voided documents.  I am going to check to see if I can figure out why, but I went back 4 years in our code history and that hasn't changed (which I find surprising).  I'll dig in a little more and see if there was a reason.
